7 Pedicure Polish and Sandal Style Combos to Consider This Spring
Like Petra, I don’t think my feet are terribly attractive. (Although unlike Petra, I’m pretty sure my ten toes would score a 4 or 5 max on the cute scale whereas she’s a full-on 9, preggers or not.) Even so, I can’t help but get a little bit excited about this time of year: So many new sandals! So many new nail polishes! So many color/style combos to try!
To help put you in the spring pedicure mood, I rounded up a few fab celebrity foot shots (yep, it’s all pretty hard-core journalist research this A.M):
First off, Kristen Bell’s perfect-looking feet are giving me a serious case of pedicure envy. Who knew toes could be adorable?
This snap isn’t even Photoshopped! While I’m not sure my banged up, former-ballerina toes will ever look as cute and adorable as Bell’s, I can swipe her style idea of pairing neutral heels with a bright pedicure polish that really pops.
Next up is Jennifer Aniston. Makes sense that her flawless bod would come with a pair of dainty little tootsies, right?
The poster girl for the little black dress is making a strong case for the black strappy sandals and bronze-y metallic polish combo. It’s trendy and fun but still smart and sophisticated. Not a bad way to be.
Meanwhile, over on the other side of the pedicure spectrum is Francia Raisa. (Actually, forget I said that. “Pedicure spectrum” sounds like a some frightening chart you’d find in a podiatrist’s office, talking up the ills of athletes foot.) Anyhow…
What I meant to say is that this is one of the most fun pedicure/sandal combos I’ve seen so far. Those bow-accented stilettos are the Cosmpolitan cocktail of footwear: Cheerfully pink, insanely girly and pretty much guaranteed to make you feel tipsy after an hour or so. Plus, Raisa really amped up the gloss factor by wearing matching pink nail polish and finishing the whole look off with a few floral nail decals.
Hmmm.
I’m going to try not to hold it against actress Victoria Justice that she, a 17 year-old, has a pair of Alexander Wang lace-up booties and I don’t. No, I’m going to take the higher road and move past the pangs of footwear jealousy and just give her props for glamming-up the edgy pair of booties with sparkly metallic nail polish.
Moving on, we have Stacy Keibler’s fancy-looking digits:
Gotta love how the gunmetal gray polish makes a pair of simple, kinda prom-y strappy heels seem fierce.
Betcha can’t guess who these stunners belong to! Hint: She’s got fab lips, looks fab as a blonde or a brunette and really knows her way around a braided hairstyle.
Yep, it’s Jessica Alba who looks like she dove feet first into spring’s sci-fi trend with rubber, scuba-like wedge heels and a pedicure in an Avatar-esque shade of blue.
Finally, for you ladies who like old-school mani-pedis, we’ve got Daisy Fuentes’s va-va-voom heels:
Nothing says sexy like a pair of black peep-toes and scarlet-red polish. Note how the deep crimson on her toenails matches the hue on the heel of her Louboutins perfectly! Well done, Fuentes, well done.
__Which one of these pedicure color/sandal style combos strikes your fancy? What pedicure polish color are you sporting right now? Are you rearing to go buy a new pair of sandals? Jonesing to skip out to the drugstore to get a new nail polish color? On a related note: Am I the only person who *doesn’t *find getting a pedicure relaxing? (It tickles!) __
