After weeks of teasers and tons of speculation, Ariana Grande’s “Focus” music video has finally arrived. We’ll let the girls over at Obsessed give you all the details on the song, but here at Lipstick, this is what we learned from f-f-f-ocusing on her: The video is a love letter to her hair, makeup, and nails. While she cycles through a few setups (performing onstage with back-up dancers, dancing alone in a box, dancing with backup dancers somewhere in black-and-white, and close-ups of her face singing), we get very clear looks at her cat eye, her bejeweled nails, her go-to mini-ponytail, and her pink lipstick. Oh, and her hair color changes to several pastel shades as the lights hit her blond strands.

We’ve gotten hints and previews from the singer of the looks we could expect via Instagram, but we didn’t quite know we’d get such intense close-ups. Copying her cat eye will be easier than ever now that we’ve seen it in microscopic detail. And if she ever decides to really go for blue hair, we already know she can pull it off. That and that she can “play” the trumpet. While dancing.
