Amber Rose Is Fighting Back Against Pubic Hair Stigma With This NSFW Pic

How you wear your pubic hair is personal, whether you trim, wax, shave, vajazzle, or let your pubes do their own damn thing. What you do with your hair down there should be completely up to you. And here to rep for the latter is Amber Rose, who can 100 percent be trusted to speak her mind, no matter the topic.

Rose took to Instagram on Friday with a post depicting her reclining regally on a staircase, wearing nothing but a black string bikini top, diamond choker, big shades, and a fur coat hanging off of her shoulders. Nope, we didn’t forget the bottom half: Disregarding liberal amounts of oil, she wasn’t wearing anything below her boobs besides the hair DNA gave her.

Considering Instagram’s nudity policy, it probably comes as no surprise that the post was quickly deleted—if the app can’t handle nipples, it definitely can’t handle other natural aspects of being human, like pubes. Twitter, on the other hand, is a little more lax. So she followed up its removal with a few tweets—along with a repost of the original photo, where it’s gotten more than 30,000 retweets and almost 5,000 likes. Tagged “#amberroseslutwalk amberroseslutwalk.com,” it seems like she took the photo in the spirit of her Slut Walks campaign, which centers around encouraging women to claim and freely express their sexuality.

Following Instagram’s disposal of her photo, Rose also followed up with a video Instagram of her smirking and rolling her eyes. She captioned it: “When IG deletes ur fire ass feminist post but you really don’t give a f-ck because everyone picked it up already #amberroseslutwalk #bringbackthebush ��”

When removing pubic hair is seen as convention, it’s nice to know there are at least a handful of celebrities who are ready to #bringbackthebush. Other known fans: Ashley Graham, Cameron Diaz, and Emma Watson. But no matter how you wax it (or not), one thing’s for sure: It’s time to finally end the stigma about something your body produces 100 percent naturally.
