I don’t know about the rest of the country but here in New York (and in Hollywood, apparently), I’ve slowly been spotting more hair feathers…

What’s a hair feather, you may ask? It’s a feather that attaches to your hair like an extension. And they often come in colors. Here’s Hilary Duff wearing one yesterday:

Confused? You can head over to Daily Candy and watch this video of Wendy Nicol explaining how her hair feathers (which she offers in her NYC store for $45 a pop) work. The basic idea: They clip in and you can wash them and style them with the rest of your hair until you decide to take it out.
