Ashley Benson Just Gave Herself Quite the Hair Makeover

Like birds feeling the pull south, celebrities often get struck with an urge to make a hair change for the winter, and Ashley Benson is one of them. She has gone for a darker, richer, more sultry hair color, and she took the new hue out for a spin to the GQ Men of the Year Party last night.

It might seem like a sudden change for the Pretty Little Liars star, but, in truth, it’s been a gradual darkening that started back in October when she documented a slight hue shift on Snapchat. In November, she went for a pretty bronde shade. But that wasn’t quite enough for the actress because she decided to take it one step further—perhaps on the set of her recent Flaunt magazine shoot, since she posted a behind-the-scenes photo of her as a dark brunette on Instagram yesterday, hinting that a color switch might be in order. She still has areas of lightness at the ends of her hair, but now the base is a warm chestnut shade. It’s a definite move to Team Brunette.

We’re sure Benson won’t be the last star you’ll see go darker as temperatures fall. There’s something about this time of year that just calls for cozy sweaters and rich hair hues. We blame all the hot chocolate and peppermint mocha drinks that are out right now. They’re the new pumpkin spice latte.
