Cara Delevingne Painted Her Bald Head Silver and Bedazzled It for the Met Gala
If the Met Gala is known for one thing, it’s pushing red carpet standards to the next level. Beyond that—stratospheric level. Beyond that—Milky Way level, and that’s where we find Cara Delevingne’s out of this world (ehh), insanely beautiful hair. Although, hair is probably the wrong word for the look Delevingne’s pioneering. Last spotted bald on set for her upcoming movie, Life in a Year, Delevingne’s somehow managed to return to her silver-platinum roots without literally having any. This woman, she’s a true icon.
Finished with a choppy asymmetrical painted-on side part, the look honestly isn’t all that different from Sofia Richie’s, a similarly platinum, spiky take. Crystal dots (à la stars in the sky?) top Delevingne’s silver-painted scalp, completing the alien chic aesthetic that’s looking like the Met Gala 2017’s legacy.
Obviously “alien chic” isn’t a thing, but now she’s made it such. Leave it to Delevingne to make us want to shave our head and paint it silver, is all we’ll say. The look is part Danny Phantom, part Storm from X-Men, and 100 percent killer. Over on Twitter, fans have connected the dots between Delevingne’s painted head and the Internet’s other great love, Bob Ross. Together, they are a magnificent union.

Even without the Ross charm, people tweeted their love of Delevingne’s look.

So we’re trend forcasting shaved and then painted heads for 2017.

Although given the red lipstick print Delevingne Instagrammed for her shaved head reveal, who knows what’s next for her new surface area.

Interestingly, it looks like the silver paint covered up Delevingne’s tattoo stars. Eye for an eye, star for a star style, but you know she’s committed to that galaxy theme.
Also beautiful: spot the silver glitter on her sternum. Here’s hoping it’s not the unicorn scrub with a 50,000-person waitlist. If it is…count us number 50,001. Just shake some down your chest, belt a blazer over the situation and go.
