Christina Hendricks Has a Completely New Hair Look

Christina Hendricks is no longer a strawberry blond—or a member of the Long Hair Club for that matter. Last night she showed up to an event at the Roosevelt in Los Angeles with her hair color darkened to the rich red that helped her stand out on Mad Men, along with a completely shorter haircut.

She actually unveiled the new hue earlier in the week at a charity gala, but it wasn’t until last night that we got to see her full hair makeover in all its glory. Her new cut is shoulder-skimming and has a shaggy, slightly uneven finish that’s very un-retro and un-Joan-like. It’s a more modern look for the star, certainly, which makes sense as she is now free to look like a woman living in present-day.

As for the color, no word yet on if she used the exact box of red hair dye she used during the show’s run. But from the looks of it, she very well could have. And who would blame her? You don’t want to mess with perfect.
