Do or Don’t: Pinup Girl Bangs
This look isn’t out-there as one of Katy Perry’s retro hairstyles, but the rolled-under bangs Alyssa Lobit (an indie film writer and actress) wore at an event last night are still pretty risky. I think she’s pulling them off–do you agree?

Pinup girl inspired hair can easily become too costumey, but there are a couple of modern touches here that help balance out the vintagey bangs. First of all, the rest of Alyssa’s hair isn’t too perfect. Her curls are loose and a little bit tousled which gives the look a more casual vibe. I think her ombre hair color (a.k.a. the trend that refuses to die) adds some freshness, too. Would you ever attempt bangs like these? Let’s take a quick vote:
