Well, here’s a big change to start off your week: While on the press tour for her new movie Terminator Genisys, *Game of Thrones *star Emilia Clarke decided to chop her long hair off over the weekend. She debuted the new look on Instagram, thanking hairstylist Alex Polillo:

It’s a huge difference in length from the long, long mane we’re used to seeing her with:

But it suits her bone structure and even makes her look taller—all that hair was swallowing the petite star before. And perhaps this is a career move. After all, it takes her another step away from looking like her long-blond-wig-wearing “Mother of Dragons” character, Daenerys, we’ve all come to know her for. But it’s not a total departure—it is still long enough to braid.
