Important Question, Guys: Who Wears Cleopatra Hair Best, Katy Perry or Rihanna?

Now that awards season is over, we can shift focus to the fact that there’s been a high-fashion battle of the Cleopatra hair going on between Katy Perry and Rihanna. Fine, maybe it’s not really a battle, in the sense that neither participant is actually aware that this is a competition—but we’re going to make it one for the sake of this post, because we love a good Glamour beauty poll.

Katy’s been wearing a blunt black bob with bangs since debuting her “Katypatra”-themed video for “Dark Horse” at the end of last month. At almost the exact same time, Rihanna debuted her own play on Cleopatra hair (which constantly varies in length from short to long) while wearing gold Egyptian-queen-worthy jewelry and sandals. As if the head-to-head hairstyle comparisons weren’t going to happen already, the ladies then both took to the runways in Europe—Rihanna pushed a shopping cart in yesterday’s supermarket-themed Chanel show in Paris, while Katy walked the runway at Moschino in Milan.

Cleo connotations aside, each of these stars clearly puts her individual flair on the cut. Rihanna’s been completing her look with hats and/or statement sunglasses and/or edgy lipstick, while Katy likes to top her bob with girly tied bandanas and doll-like bows. But I still gotta ask—whose version of this hairstyle do you like best?
