Jennifer Garner’s Highlights: Let’s Discuss
While the cuts and bruises Jennifer Garner sported on Letterman last night are getting a lot of attention (apparently she fell while running), I’m kind of focused on the unusual placement of her highlights right now. Take a look with me, will you?
You see, at first glance it sort of look like she’s just got some really long roots going on (which some of you pointed out when I posted her half-up do a few days ago) but, but upon closer inspection…
…you can tell that she’s got some streaks in her bangs, too, which leads me to think this was an attempt at the lighter-on-the-ends look that Sarah Jessica Parker sports thanks to a technique called balayage, in which highlights are painted on the bottom part of the hair by hand. It’s just that the highlights are so much lighter than the rest of the hair that they stand out more on Jennifer Garner.
So there you have it, my answer to the “What’s going on with her hair color?” a few of you were asking. What do you think? Do you like this look? Thinking it’s a good way not to have to worry so much about your roots? Think it works better on Sarah Jessica Parker? Discuss.
Oh, and in case you were wondering, he’s a shot of one of her scrapes. If you’re squeamish, DON’T LOOK BELOW! It might make you flinch, since she sported her wounds bandage-free (kind of bad*ss of her, no?).
