Jenny’s Long Hair Extensions On “Gossip Girl”: Let’s Discuss

There’s a new season of “Gossip Girl” in full swing, and I think it’s high time we have a conversation about rebellious little Jenny’s long, Barbie-like curled hair extensions.

Here’s what Jenny, played by Taylor Momsen, looked like on last night’s episode.

I’m sorry to say, something about this strange, limp-yet-meticulously-curled hairstyle is actually making me wistful for Jenny’s weird hair of season’s past. For reference, here are some shots of Taylor’s previous look, a cropped cut that grew from Carol Brady to punk rock over the course of several months.

I wasn’t a huge fan of this mullet-like look, but I know some of you thought Taylor was totally rocking it.

Maybe it’s just me, but I am dying to see Jenny/Taylor with hair that just looks normal again. Not overstyled, overthought and distracting. That said, I am not a teenager like she plays on the show, so perhaps I just don’t get it. Feel free to set me straight.
