Kristen Stewart Is Having Her Best Beauty Week Ever
Kristen Stewart has been killing it in the beauty department this week. The 25-year-old star has been out promoting (and picking up awards for) her new movie Clouds of Sils Maria, and her mix of smoky eyes, bold lipsticks, and alternating hair textures has us in awe.
This all makes sense—the hairstylist behind her hair is Harry Josh, a man so known for his work with effortless texture that his line of high-end hair tools has become a must-have for celebrities and celebrity hairstylists alike (well, for that reason and also the fact that they’re the chicest gadgets on the planet). And the makeup artist she’s been working with Linda Hay’s signature is creating unique looks that highlight her clients’ best features in unexpected ways. See: How she brought attention to Stewart’s eyes by contrasting their lightness with deep berry lipstick.
What we can all learn from this selection of hair and makeup magic: Smoky eyes can be rich and intense but still somehow soft if you go for warm colors like bronze. Wavy hair that has a bed-head vibe makes any makeup look you pair with it feel more relaxed. Strobing on your cheekbones is a red-carpet move to steal (as long as you don’t go overboard with it and end up with a white Nike swoosh on your face). And, sometimes, simply tucking your hair behind your ear can be the sexiest move on the planet. In the end, it’s all about smoldering but in a way that’s quiet, relaxed, and not too over-the-top. That’s the Stewart way.
