Kristen Stewart Shaved Off All Her Hair and Went Platinum

Kristen Stewart, is that you? That might be your first reaction to seeing the actress after taking one glance at the red carpet photos of K. Stew at the premiere of her new film Personal Shopper. Stewart arrived at the event looking nearly unrecognizable with a shaved head dyed bleached blond. While the extreme change is exactly that, extreme, Stewart pulled it off with extreme confidence, making the haircut look like something she’s had for ages. Although, just as recently as the day before, March 6, she appeared in Los Angeles with her brunette roots and a short haircut.

While promoting her upcoming spooky film about a personal shopper for a celebrity in Paris, which debuts March 10, Stewart unveiled her freshly buzzed head with a goth, black ensemble. She wore a pair of black trousers with a crop top and a black corset peeking out. If there was any doubt that this was K. Stew, she also paired her haircut with her signature beauty look: kohl-lined smoky eyes and a nude lip.

While Kristen Stewart has yet to comment on the inspiration behind her new haircut, Just Jared reports that the new look could be for another one of her upcoming films, Underwater, which “focuses on an underwater scientific crew forced to go on a dangerous journey for survival following an earthquake,” according to Variety—which would make sense. After all, no hairstyle is easier to deal with when wet than a buzz cut.
