Look, Kim Kardashian’s Psoriasis Is Showing In These Pics

We like it when we see evidence that celebrities have imperfections and annoying beauty issues just like us–and these new photos show that the usually-perfectly-coiffed Kim Kardashian is no exception.

Kim was strutting her stuff in a blue maxi skirt in Miami yesterday, and when her leg peeked through the slit, what appear to be psoriasis marks were visible.

It doesn’t look like a terrible flare-up, but it shows that Kim’s continuing to struggle with keeping her psoriasis in check. She’s posted on her website how she sometimes conceals the leg spots using Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs bronzing spray (click the link for impressive before-and-after shots).

Remember when Beth posted about the episode of Keeping Up With The Kardasians where Kim Kardashian found out she has psoriasis and totally melts down? Some commenters were less than sympathetic, saying she was acting like a big drama queen and that there are much worse diseases to be diagnosed with–but lots of you sympathized and said you, too, suffer from psoriasis, eczema or another skin condition. I have mild eczema but my poor 18 month old has it worse; her little face has been covered in dry light-pink patches this winter, and the weather hasn’t even been that harsh. Applying a combination of Aveeno Baby eczema lotion and Aquaphor two or three times daily is really helping, but even that regimen (plus superpowered humidifier at night) can’t banish the red spots for more than a day at a time.

So for those of us who can sympathize with Kim K., let’s have a little chat about psoriasis, eczema, etc.: How many of you are suffering from one of these patchy-skin issues this winter? What do you do to help keep the problem in check? Let’s share tips and advice in the comments below.
