Lovely Holiday Eye Makeup Idea: Jessica Alba’s Wash of Pale Gold Glitter

Ladies, I have three words for you: Pale gold glitter. That’s what Jessica Alba wore on her eyes to the New York premiere of Little Fockers and it might be the prettiest, most holiday-friendly makeup look I’ve seen all week.

Now, you know how I feel about gold eyeshadow and the holidays–they go together like peanut butter and very festive jelly. But there’s something about this look–the way it shimmers over the beige shadow on top, the more intense it gets on bottom, the way the whole thing catches the light–that just seems like it was made to be worn it by a fire while opening presents. And the thick line of black liquid eyeliner she’s also got going on here is key–it keeps the whole thing from getting to precious.
