Rihanna’s Makeup Line Fenty Beauty Officially Has a Launch Date
UPDATE: Rihanna fans: This is the news you’ve been (mostly) waiting for. Fenty Beauty, after a wait of well over a year, finally—officially—has a launch date. Mark your iCal, put in your time-off request from work, and text your friends to plan a trip to Sephora, where the line is exclusively landing, because Fenty Beauty is hitting shelves on…drumroll, please…Friday, September 8, 2017.
That’s it. The only update we have for now. Nothing else—the products, the names, the packaging—has been revealed by the brand yet. But, thanks to some good Instagram sleuthing, we do know this: Rihanna tagged Fenty Beauty in an Instagram during her press tour for Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, so rest assured you will not be disappointed by the results. As if that were ever in question.

It’s official: Rihanna is work work work work working on a makeup line. According to WWD, Fenty Beauty by Rihanna will launch in fall 2017.
RiRi, who launched an entire hair and makeup agency back in the fall, has always been passionate about beauty. With seven fragrances under her belt and multiple MAC collections, it was only a matter of time until the “Anti” singer dug her almond-shaped nails into something deeper.
So, what can we expect? “Fenty Beauty by Rihanna is a beauty rocket ship that will appeal to a huge and diverse global audience,” says David Suliteanu, chief executive officer of the Kendo division of LVMH (the division that also makes Kat Von D Beauty and Marc Jacobs Beauty, FYI). No other details about Fenty Beauty have emerged yet, but you should probably start getting used to the idea of wearing purple eyeshadow and black lipstick. We can only imagine the badassery this line is going to bring to our lives.
