Tendrils And Hair Wisps: Still Showing Up In Hairstyles Left And Right

When I first declared that the tendril was back, a lot of you were just not having it—for instance, reader marinapn requested “Can the tendril please return to the land of mud brown lipstick and Belinda Carlisle?” Well, you guys, it hasn’t actually gone anywhere. In fact, just last night I spotted tendrils and it’s cousin the wisp in the hairstyles of two stars…

  1. Hayden Panettiere:

She went with straight wisps.

And 2) Chloe Sevigny

Who went full-tendril.

Now, in both cases, I believe the pieces are meant to soften the look. But I wonder if tendrils and wisps have gotten such a bad reputation that they just end up stealing the show and all you see is “PIECE! THERE’S A PIECE OF HAIR HANGING DOWN!” Time (and your comments below) will tell.

How are you feeling about tendrils and wisps these days? Are they starting to grow on you?
