We chatted with Amy Adams—American Hustle actress and the face of Eau de Lacoste Pour Femme—about the beauty tips she swears by. Read on!
1. Use eyedrops.
“I’ve worked with Stephen Sollitto who has been my makeup artist for years, and he believes in putting in eyedrops before you walk out the door. My eyes are quite sensitive and tend to get red during the process of putting makeup on, so eyedrops are very helpful,” says Adams.
2. Keep your skin care simple.
“I don’t really buy into a lot of fads, partially because I have really sensitive skin. I’ve tried that and it doesn’t always go well. But I am a big SPF girl. I use Neutrogena a lot. They tend to be the best with sensitive skin,” she says. Try Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Face and Body Sunscreen Stick, $9.99, ulta.com.
3. Keep a lipgloss in your bag at all times.
“I really enjoy lipstick on the red carpet, but in my own life, I tend to be more of a balm and gloss kind of girl. Right now the one I’m addicted to is Jouer Divine Lipgloss, $20, beauty.com. It’s the perfect mauve-y natural, and it works very well for me,” says Adams.
4. Eat almonds.
“I try to keep a bag of almonds on me at all times. I find that they make me feel full and keep me going if I find myself somewhere needing something to eat.”
__ 5. Touch up your fragrance throughout the day.__
I like fragrances I can wear all the time. I keep a travel size of whatever fragrance I’m wearing in my bag and I do little touch ups during the day. One thing I love about the [Lacoste] campaign is that it’s driven by simplicity and a feminine sensuality in a very natural way, and it was something I could get behind. It goes with my sensibility in approaching beauty and approaching fragrance in general,” says Adams. Try Lacoste Eau de Lacoste Pour Femme, $65 for 1.7 oz., lacoste.com.
