Think Hayden Panettiere jumped on the celebrity bandwagon and got a cool crop just because every other Hollywood hairbot had one? Think again! Turns out Hayden was forced to cut her hair
into a cute, trendy bob after the many intense hairstyles and treatments on the *Heroes *set last season weakened her strands. To help Hayden’s tresses grow back healthier than ever, this year the show’s hair pro Lee Ann Brittenham is giving her hair a break.

Hayden sports a dark ponytail on this season’s Heroes.
As for Panettiere’s dark new ‘do on Heroes, “We’re using wigs. You never see her real hair,” says Brittenham. “Under the wig she’s wearing conditioner all day so her natural hair now is really healthy.” (Maybe wigs will be the new hair accessory of choice?)
