Two Celebrity Eye Shadow Looks—One Awesome, One Questionable

Two celebrities went out with two quite notable eye makeup looks last night. And I’m having a very different reaction to each one. Come see.

Let’s start with the one I’m swooning over. Milla Jovovich’s coppery look at the premiere of Stone:

You’ll have to excuse the fuzziness of the picture–I guess the photographer was having problems with his focus that day. But you can still see the colors: brown-bronze around most of the way with a lighter copper in the inner corners. Lovely against her green eyes.

Now let’s talk about the one I’m not so sure about: The green shadow Hilary Swank wore to the Conviction premiere.

First, I’ll say that I like that Hilary went for something colorful–she’s usually a neutrals girl. And I get that it’s meant to pick up the light blue-green in her dress. But there’s something about this color I’m not totally loving. It’s too…icy for her, maybe? I feel like an emerald (like this shade on Shenae Grimes) would have been more flattering. What do you guys think?

OK, now it’s time for discussion. Are you into these looks? Loving them both? Still don’t get my obsession with Milla Jovovich? Head to the comments and talk.
