Vanessa Hudgens’ Short Hair: She HATES Her New Cut, But Do You Think It Has Potential?
The tabloids have been abuzz this week over Vanessa Hudgens’ new short hair–her self-proclaimed “soccer mom” haircut–and last night on the red carpet, she really showed it off. Take a good look at it, then let’s do what we do best: discuss.
At the L.A. premiere of “Captain America: The First Avenger” last night, Vanessa was modeling her new short hair from every angle.
But don’t be fooled–Vanessa is NOT a fan of her new look!
On Monday, Vanessa told “Access Hollywood” that she hacked off her own hair (!) for her role as a pregnant, homeless teen in “Gimme Shelter”, which she’s currently filming in New Jersey. Her feelings on her short hair: “Honestly, I kind of feel like a soccer mom, but we’re going to let that go,” she told Access. “There’s nothing wrong with soccer moms, but I’m only 22! I miss [my hair,] believe me, I do, but there’s nothing I can do about it.”
Fair enough–I certainly would miss my long hair if I’d hacked it off like this for a role! But I have to point out to Vanessa that all the cool girls in Hollywood have been going short and only looking MORE amazing for it. Four examples:

Personally I would like to see Vanessa embrace the freedom of this less-hair situation she has found herself in and experiment a little. Maybe she just needs a different style of short haircut–perhaps its not the sheer loss of length that’s the problem. I hope she doesn’t run out and get a bunch of extensions without even giving the short thing a shot. She’s young and gorgeous, there’s really no going too wrong here!
