When was the last time you wore a hair comb? Like plain barrettes, hair combs were a styling staple for many of us in middle/high school, but at some point, bobby pins took over as the hold-hair-back accessory of choice.

Lately we’ve had some seriously chic hair comb sightings, though, and I think the hairstyle we saw on Jennifer Lopez yesterday at the premiere of Home has officially brought the look mainstream again. Look how a simple comb helped transform her bombshell waves into something sleek, retro, and very glamorous (well, with a little help from hairstylist Lorenzo Martin).
