“A” Is a Mystery Again on Pretty Little Liars: The Latest Shocking Suspect

Ohhh, Pretty Little Liars. How we hate to love you, and love to hate you—especially when you tease us continually with “A”‘s identity. We thought we had this whole Rosewood mystery rapped up (remember #CharlesIsA??), but all of our alleged answers went down the drain last night—and in their place came a whole new set of “A” theories. Read on for what we know now, and the latest suspect.

So, Charles is really dead. There were many fan theories that Charles was still alive, despite Mr. DiLaurentis previously revealing that he had committed suicide at the age of 16. But Hanna and Spencer uncovered the nail in the coffin, so to speak, last night: While snooping around Radley, they found Charles’ old files that stated his heart, liver, and kidney were donated after his death. So, yeah, we think it’s safe to say he’s officially deceased.

Now, it turns out “A” is a girl. Aria’s photographer friend Clark unknowingly nabs a photo of “A” while the two were roaming around an old junkyard (and, apparently, being followed). Aria swipes the negatives and, upon closer investigation, realizes that the shadowy figure most definitely has the anatomy of a female.

And suspect No. 1 is (drumroll, please) Lesli Stone. Thanks to Spencer and Hanna’s Radley mission, we also now know that Lesli knew Mona and Charles from Radley—and was Bethany Young’s roommate. Cut to the final seconds of the episode, where Mona calls Lesli to tell her “they know” (“they” being the Liars). Could discovering “A” really be that easy?
