Bella Hadid’s Response to This Person Accusing Her of Having Plastic Surgery Is A+

Having plastic surgery work done isn’t a big deal, as long as it feels right to the person making that choice. What is a big deal, however, is speculating-slash-accusing someone of having work done when you don’t know them. One person did this to Bella Hadid this week, and they got way more than they bargained for when she actually responded.

It all started when a fan account on Instagram, @ballahadid, posted a side-by-side photo of Kendall Jenner and Hadid both rocking free-the-nipple looks under sheer shirts. “Kenny or Bella?” the account runner captioned the pic. Most people answered this question straightforwardly, commenting on which look they preferred. (Comparing these women in itself is problematic, but that’s a rant for later.) But one Instagram user didn’t understand the assignment; instead, they wrote a lengthy comment about Hadid and Jenner, accusing them each of having plastic surgery.

“2 fake b*tches sitting in a tree, first comes the nose job, then come the lips, oh and don’t forget the built in cheeks lmao y’all trippin’ fam, money can get you a new face but not a nicer personality which these two girls need,” they wrote, according to a screenshot shared by the Instagram account @CommentsbyCelebs.

Such vitriol doesn’t really warrant a response, but the irony of someone writing negative commentary while talking about the need for “nicer personalities” was evidently not lost on Hadid, who responded with grace. “I wish you would know either of our personalities. And not only that, I wish you would only grasp a heart of your own,” she wrote in a reply. “Blessings to you sweetheart. According to StyleCaster, the user in question has since made their profile private and deleted both their comment and Hadid’s. They’ve also changed their bio to read, “Eat yo heart out fam// I’m not jealous of you Bella, sorry if I hit a soft spot sweetheart x.” So…apology accepted?
