Ben McKenzie and Morena Baccarin Have Welcomed a Baby Girl! Find Out Her Incredibly Unique Name

Congrats, Ben McKenzie and Morena Baccarin! The Gotham costars are now parents! They welcomed a daughter, Frances Laiz Setta Schenkkan, on Wednesday, March 2. In a statement released to USA Today, their rep said, “All are happy and healthy and appreciate the well wishes.”

This is McKenzie’s first child and the second for Baccarin. She has a two-year-old son with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Austin Chick. But Baccarin is eager to tie the knot with McKenzie and even said in legal documents surrounding her divorce (when she was three-and-a-half-months pregnant) that she’s in a “new committed relationship” and “plans to re-marry.” And, in a true case of art imitating real life, the characters that McKenzie and Baccarin play on Gotham (James Gordon and Dr. Leslie Thompkins) are expecting too!

McKenzie and Baccarin were spotted out and about together right up until baby Frances’ due date while Baccarin promoted her hit movie Deadpool. Last month, she told Jimmy Fallon she was ready to give birth: “It’s a wonderful thing, but get it out! Let’s get on with our lives. There’s things to do, people to see.”
