Blake Lively Is Making Us All Believe in Love Again With Her Message to Ryan Reynolds

Bless you, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, for restoring the world’s faith in love in 2016.

In a year that has been fraught with general chaos and heartbreak—it seems every couple from Brad and Angelina to Demi and Wilmer broke up this year—Lively and Reynolds have managed to make through the fray being as adorable, loving, and sweet as ever.

Phew.

In the latest goals-worthy act, Lively took to Instagram on December 15 to congratulate her husband on receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her Instagram picture features her and Reynolds, along with their two-year-old daughter, James, standing on the iconic Los Angles symbol—their youngest daughter’s feet were not included, most likely because she is too little to stand on her own—paired with Lively’s sentiments on how the significant moment made her feel about her husband.

“Proud is a pitiful word to describe how I felt today. @vancityreynolds The permanence of your impact is undeniable …Always has been, but now we have a fancy ��to show for it. ��,” she writes.

And if you think this is cute, just get a load of the Lively-Reynolds offspring making their public debut to help honor their dad. Family (and hair) goals.

The couple had a huge year with Reynolds starring in the blockbuster (and now Golden Globe-nominated film) Deadpool, while Lively was at the helm of the summer flick The Shallows. The two also welcomed a second child in September. And, you know, there were all those fun Taylor Swift squad hangs.

And despite a few hiccups—um, Reynolds accidentally telling the whole world their baby’s gender when Lively preferred to keep their private life on the DL—the two have remained extra sappy. Never change, you two. No seriously, our hearts (and Taylor’s) couldn’t handle that.
