Ciara Opens Up About Her Decision to Remain Celibate With Boyfriend Russell Wilson

Ciara is opening up about her decision to remain celibate with her boyfriend, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.

“It’s not hard at all,” she told People about choosing abstinence to honor Wilson’s Christian faith. “He’s an awesome guy and a very confident guy. Just like I feel like I’m a woman that knows what I want, he’s a man who knows what he wants.”

And they have a great foundation for their relationship too. Ciara added: “It’s just a fun new chapter in life for me…we talk about everything, and I think that’s what you should be able to do as people and partners in a relationship. So, that’s what makes it really beautiful.”

Ciara called off her engagement with rapper Future in 2014, shortly after giving birth to their son, 21-month-old Future Zahir Wilburn. But the singer put any engagement rumors with Wilson to rest.

“It’s so funny how people put so much pressure on that kind of stuff,” she said. “It will happen when it’s supposed to.”
