Cole Sprouse Jokes That Lili Reinhart Kissing Scenes Are Part of His ‘Riverdale’ Contract

Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Jughead’s (Cole Sprouse) love scenes on Riverdale are few and far between, but they’re steamy as hell. Remember when they had a heavy makeout in F.P.’s trailer at the end of season one? That one scene is hotter than all of Archie’s shirtless moments combined. Well, maybe that’s a stretch, but you get my point: Bughead can turn up the heat when needed.

Of course, their onscreen passion is only intensified by rumors that Reinhart and Sprouse are also an item offscreen. The young actors haven’t confirmed this news themselves, and a recent Tumblr post from Reinhart suggests they might never. “It’s horrifying how invested some people are in my love life. Emphasis on ‘my.’ It is mine. It is private,” she wrote.

But this isn’t stopping Riverdale fans from looking for relationship clues, which aren’t hard to find. From gushy social media posts to the time they were caught secretly holding hands in an interview, it’s clear Reinhart and Sprouse feel some type of way about each other.

And this new interview with Sprouse only adds more fuel to that fire. The former Disney star appeared on Live with Kelly and Ryan on Wednesday, where hosts Ryan Seacrest and Kelly Ripa showed a clip of Bughead kissing on Riverdale. They then asked Sprouse what else is in store for the couple this season, and his response was essentially one giant heart-eye emoji.

“A little bit more of that [kissing], which is gonna be good,” he said. “They’re contractually obliged to give me as many kiss scenes as possible this season. I wrote it into my contract.”

Sprouse is obviously joking about the kissing clause, but the cute way he tells this story will surely send “Sprousehart” shippers through the roof. He literally giggles and looks down at one point. My preteen heart can’t handle all this puppy love.
