Exclusive: A Week in the Life of Shemar Moore
So I’m going to let Criminal Minds star Shemar Moore take over this article for me—because let’s be honest, who would you most want to hear from right now?—so enjoy a peek into his life!
“No week is ever the same in my world! An average week in my life changes based on my shooting schedule, if I’m promoting a project, or anything else I have going on. This past week was busy! We are gearing up for the return of Criminal Minds‘ season nine, which returns TONIGHT. This year I was also CBS’ Official Social Media Reporter hanging out backstage at the Emmys with all the nominees and winners snapping photos. I’m also training to ride in the annual Bike MS ride on Saturday, October 12. Here’s a little glimpse in to my life this past week.”
Shemar Moore Photo Diary: A Week in the Life
“Each morning needs to start with a good sweat. I’m either working out at home or on set, depending on my call time. Here’s a shot of me working out on set.”
“We shoot nine months out of the year, and it takes eight days to shoot one episode. Here’s a photo of me acting as bad boy Derek Morgan. I had to learn how to properly hold a gun when I first started!”
“Sometimes we shoot up to 5 to 11 depending on if there are stunts or technical things involved with the scene. AJ Cook and I.”
“On my days off and on the weekends, I’ve been trying to get into riding shape for this year’s Ride MS. I’m riding 100 miles to raise money for research. Here’s a photo of me and my friend Keith Tisdell riding to the stairs!”
“Here’s me at the Santa Monica stairs.”
“Every couple of days I go on and respond to my baby girls and my homies! It’s because of their support that Criminal Minds has been on for so long and why I love what I do.”
“Counting merch!”
“I always speak so highly of my mom because she’s my partner in crime and none of this would be possible without her love and support. Always have to make time for Mom.” [Ed. note: Need proof? See what he said about his mom in our video piece at the Emmys]
“I’ve done a lot of things in my career, but being asked to be this year’s CBS Social Media Reporter is definitely up there as one of the most amazing things I’ve done. Got to visit one of my favorite designers and pick out an outfit.”
“Found an outfit at John Varvatos; getting fitted.”
“Backstage at the Emmys for rehearsal.”
Which photo is your favorite? Meanwhile, don’t forget that Criminal Minds returns tonight on CBS at 10/9C.
