Full House’s Jesse and Becky Got Married 22 Years Ago Today! Let’s Relive the Best Moments, Shall We?

Disclaimer: I am not trying to make any of you feel old (or maybe I’m just trying to convince myself that I’M not), but either way, it was 22 years ago today that Jesse and Becky tied the knot on Full House. Pretty crazy, right?

The wedding aired over two weeks (part one aired on February 8, 1991 and part two aired on February 15) during season four, but the actual wedding anniversary for Becky and Jesse is February 14, 1991. Regardless, let’s take a look back at the best moments from that episode, what some of the secondary cast is up to now, and those “What were they thinking?!” styles!

The Katsopolis Clan: Yvonne Wilder, now 75, played Jesse’s mom, Irene Katsopolis, and John Aprea, now 71, played Nick Katsopolis. Here’s Nick before…

And here is his most recent picture. Looking good, John! (Although I’m not sure why this picture looks like he’s only been eating oranges for the last 20 years).

Meanwhile, the actors who played Becky’s parents, Kenneth and Nedra Donaldson, have both passed away. Don Hood was 62 years old when he died in 2003, and Lois Nettleton passed away in 2008 at the age of 80.

By the way…in “this only happens in sitcoms,” Becky’s parents were meeting Jesse for the first time on their wedding day! What?!

So, in one of the weirder plot points ever done on Full House (though, hey, they had to find some way to make their wedding interesting), Becky’s dad tells Jesse that he’ll probably lose any chance at adventure when he gets married, so Jesse decides to go sky-diving. “What am I gonna do when I have a family? Jump out of a station wagon?” Well, he does have a point.

Of course, as we all know, he gets stuck in a tree, forgets his hair mousse on the way down, and falls in a tomato truck, which lands him in jail.

Who else recognized John Stamos’ former General Hospital co-star Kin Shriner (Scotty) as the sheriff?

Of course, it’s Becky who has to bail her soon-to-be-hubby out of jail, and offers this amazing wedding advice that our own Gena Kaufman would be so proud of:

Jesse: “I needed one last adventure.”>

Becky: “But, Jess, the adventure is just beginning for the both of us. Sharing our lives, starting a family. And hey, if you want to jump out of a plane, I’ll strap on a chute and be right there with you. The point is, if you’re going to go on an adventure, let’s just do it together.”

See, Full House is educational!

So once Jesse and Becky make it back to the church, the wedding can begin. Or in Danny and Joey’s case, a new romance can bloom. You guys find this picture a little odd?

But in my opinion, the episode didn’t really get started until this moment happened and John looked at Lori like this:

And this…

…and then I decided that I needed to marry John Stamos.

Or if that’s not possible, then I just need to get John to sing “Forever” at my own wedding one day. Let’s reminisce, shall we?

But who cares because this was one of the best episodes of *Full House*, and I’m convinced Becky and Jesse would be celebrating their 22nd anniversary today with Nicky and Alex coming home from college to surprise them, and the rest of the Tanner clan right along with ’em!

Is anyone else as obsessed with “Forever” as I am?
