Gomez and The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye) made their red carpet—and official couple—debut at Monday night’s Met Gala and they were not shy about showing just how in love they are. It was a surprising change after the duo have been somewhat hush about their relationship (save for a few concert snaps and Italian Instagrams) that sparked back in January. While paparazzi have caught the two together everywhere from Olive Garden to Santa Monica, California, Gomez nor Tesfaye have ever been too candid about their love. But that all changed Monday, when they were spotted kissing on the Met steps andeven whispering sweet nothings into each other’s ears throughout the night.

Other than just snagging the cutest couple spotlight, Gomez and the R&B star were some of the best dressed at the event. Gomez shone in an embellished cream Coach gown, with subtle accessories and neon pink beauty touches.
