Here’s Why Jodie Sweetin Isn’t Paying Any Attention to That Controversial Instagram Miley Cyrus Posted of Her
Like all of us, Fuller House star Jodie Sweetin was probably thinking to herself “how rude!” when Miley Cyrus posted a throwback picture of Jodie partying on Instagram last week. The shot was of Sweetin back in 2007 and sitting on her now ex-husband Cody Herpin’s lap while out at a club—cigarette in hand. Miley’s caption, “Current Mood #fullerhouse” was a little odd considering that of all the pictures Cyrus could have posted, she chose one that the now sober Sweetin would probably prefer stayed in the archives. A shot of a young Stephanie Tanner in her neon leotard, dancing away in the Tanner family living room would have made a lot more sense, no?
But Sweetin is not letting Cyrus’ post start a feud. She told the Huffington Post, “I don’t pay attention to negative stuff. I have so much good stuff going on in my life right now that I try not to pay attention.”
And good stuff going on for Sweetin is an understatement. Sweetin, who’s been so open about her struggles with substance abuse, is now going on five years of sobriety. She’s a mom to two girls, and her career is back with a vengeance. Not only was Fuller House renewed for a second season, but Sweetin is also competing on the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars. Cyrus, however, still doesn’t see anything wrong with the picture and added to the caption: “Only you freaks take this as shaming! To me it looks like Stephanie is having a f–king gay ol’ time!”
