Kerry Washington Welcomes a Baby Boy, and His Name Is Beautiful

A big celebration is in order for the Queen of Red Wine, Kerry Washington.

E! Online reports that the Scandal star welcomed a second baby gladiator to her brood, a son named Caleb Kelechi. He was born on October 5.

Not many details about little Caleb are available right now. This is Washington’s second child with her husband, Nnamdi Asomugha. They welcomed a daughter, Isabelle, in April 2014.

News broke in May that Washington was expecting a second child after she sported a baby bump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

But don’t expect any explicit details about the latest addition to Washington’s family. Like her Scandal character, Olivia Pope, Washington is stealthy and keeps her personal life tight-lipped—from her secret marriage to Asomugha in 2013 to Isabelle’s birth, which wasn’t confirmed until two weeks after delivery. Simply put, Kerry Washington doesn’t like many people in her business.

She does offer some tidbits on occasion, though. “I will say I feel really, really blessed,” Washington told the Los Angeles Times. “I just feel really blessed that I’m kind of living extraordinary dreams come true in my work life and in my personal life.”
