Miss Piggy and Kermit Just Gave Us the Best Adele “Hello” Spoof Yet

With less than six weeks left to the year, Adele’s “Hello” has officially become the song of 2015 we cannot escape. (Although, why would you want to?) Besides the fact that the debut single off of her third album, 25, is shattering streaming and sales records, it’s also become the song of choice for beautiful covers (including versions by Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas) and hilarious spoofs. Ellen’s parody, where she claims a phone conversation with her inspired the song, has reigned supreme in the latter category for the past several weeks—but now, two Muppets are giving her a major run for her money.

During last night’s AMAs, a commercial aired for The Muppets featuring Miss Piggy and Kermit re-creating scenes from Adele’s “Hello” video. The result is obviously amazing, adorable, and hysterical in a way that only the muppets can achieve—but it also touches a sore spot for us fans of the fuzzy puppets, considering Miss Piggy and Kermit ended their long-term relationship back in August.
