Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Peter Pilotto Designer Christmas Sweaters for Charity
Just in time for the holidays—and Ugly Christmas Sweater parties (maybe, sorry)—the folks over at Save the Children and knitting company Wool and the Gang have enlisted the help of top British designers to create one-off pullovers for charity. But are the resulting creations totally kitschy or actually cute? Tell us what you think of these charmers—would you wear them?
Here’s a London holiday landscape from the folks at Burberry:
A hot-pink ombre embellished sweater from Giles Deacon:
Matthew Williamson designed a solemn sweater that’s pretty much perfect for a cozy evening in front of the fireplace:
Sir Paul Smith’s offering features an adorable dog in sunglasses:
Sibling’s Save the Children sweater features a goofy googly-eyed Christmas tree:
Perhaps the most not overtly Christmas sweater of the bunch come from the folks at Alexander McQueen:
The Anya Hindmarch sweater takes the designer’s signature wordplay and adapts it for holiday:
Jonathan Saunders features delicate red-and-green flowers on his jumper:
Designer Mary Katrantzou’s lattice-embellished sweater feels like the ’80s:
And Peter Pilotto’s Save the Children sweater showcases the designer’s signature illustrations:
Are you a Christmas sweater collector? Tell us: Which one of these would you wear and which ones would you not wear? Are they kitschy or cute?
