Amazing Thing Alert: 17-Year-Old Cassidy Made Gowns Out of Magazines (Including Glamour!)

You guys are so amazing—you never cease to blow our minds with your creativity and awesomeness. Check this out: yesterday, we got an email from Stacy Lamb, who sent us photos of three dresses—a gown (!), a floor-length dress, and a cocktail dress—her daughter, Cassidy Lamb, made out of magazines (including Glamour!). Check out the gorgeous creations, after the jump.

Here’s the back story: Turns out 17-year-old Cassidy, who’s a junior and wants to major in fashion and business in college, has a subscription to Glamour (and a lot of other magazines, by the looks of it!) and wanted to do something creative and useful with her old issues.

“She thought of the idea because there are a lot of people out there who can’t afford to buy fancy dresses for prom or any formal dance,” her mom Stacy told us.

Cassidy designed three dresses out of magazine pages: a ball gown, a fitted dress, and a dancing dress—”She made it with the idea of salsa dancing in mind,” her mom says.
