Anne Hathaway’s Catwoman Costume Will Be Subtly Sexy, Not Smoldering

Sorry, latex-loving fanboys: It looks like the Catwoman costume Anne Hathaway will don in the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises will hew more closely to the comic book original than to the ultra-revealing number Halle Berry wore last time the iconic character made an appearance on-screen.

It may not have been her most memorable performance, but how could anyone forget what Halle wore when she took on the title role in 2004? A push-up bra, S&M-inspired straps, a pair of leather pants and a serious whip all made tongues wag–but don’t expect anything similar for the new film, due out next year. A source tells HollywoodLife.com, “Anne’s outfit is more tactical, like the comic book, than the previous Batman movies. She will definitely be wearing the goggles and it’s going to be less sexy than Halle Berry and Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman costumes. She’s going to look more like a robber.” But those eager to see what Anne’s hard work at the gym shouldn’t worry: “This costume is going to be form-fitting enough to make Anne look smoking hot.”

Do you ladies think Anne was a good choice to play Catwoman? Do you think she’ll bring plenty of sex appeal, even without a revealing outfit? If you could play a superhero on film, what would you want to wear? Discuss!
