Anne Hathaway’s Transformation in The Devil Wears Prada Was So Good!
The Devil Wears Prada may have premiered in 2006, but that doesn’t mean I won’t watch it every single time it’s on TV. This past weekend was no different, affording me yet another opportunity to reflect on just how great Anne Hathaway’s movie-wardrobe transformation was. In fact, here’s what I think were her top looks.
Number 1: Andy’s initial makeover outfit was such a drastic change for the better that even Gisele gave the once-frumpy assistant props. My favorite part of the look? Those Chanel boots, obviously.
Number 2: Asked to attend a gala at the last minute, Andy puts together this ultra-flattering gown and mini-purse combination. Her chic updo sealed the deal.
Number 3: While I’m not (and most likely never will be) a huge fan of newsboy caps, I died for Andy’s two-strand Chanel necklace and appreciated her layered sweater and crisp white button-down styling.
Number 4: Andy’s snow-white number took my breath away. The addition of gray accessories provided stylish finishing touches to one in just a plethora of amazing coat moments from the film.
Number 5: Behold: a prime example of why everyone needs a statement coat. Andy could have been wearing a garbage bag under this and still looked totally pulled-together.
What were some of your favorite outfits from The Devil Wears Prada?
