Blake Lively Is Sharing Her Sexy French-Girl Style Tricks!
The California-born Blake Lively might be as American as apple pie, but don’t think those sunny West Coast roots mean that she’s resistant to the pull of French-girl style. The actress was on hand this weekend at a Moët-sponsored dinner at Ladurée to toast her pal Angie Niles’ new book Bright Lights Paris, a shopping and style bible that she provided some stylish tips to. The chance to be a bit more like both a chic Parisienne and the former Serena van der Woodsen? Excuse us while we power through a serious speed read.
As it turns out, Lively’s been harboring some serious Frenchie style for a while. She’s never been shy about her love for Christian Louboutin (the man’s responsible for nearly every one of her most major shoe moments) and she indulges the addiction full-on when she’s in Paris. “A visit to [his] atelier reminds a girl that she’s never too old to pretend she’s Cinderella,” she tells Niles. And her other French-girl favorites? Well, they’re just as sexy as Monsieur Louboutin’s red soles.

It’s not skinny-striped tees or ballet flats that get her going; instead, her other must-shop spots are a bit more private. Lingerie brands Chantal Thomass and Fifi Chachnil both count as “a necessary guilty pleasure” for the blond beauty. Luckily for us, shopping a perfectly French-girl bra or lingerie set doesn’t require a new passport stamp. While neither brands are widely available in the U.S., you can shop a limited range of Chantal Thomass at shops like Nancy Meyer and Journelle (where the below ruffly black set is from).
