Chanel’s Two Buzziest Catwalkers: Kendall Jenner and the Chicest Pregnant Bride

The Chanel Couture show, presented yesterday in Paris, included two figures that got the assembled fashion crowd humming: Kendall Jenner and Ashleigh Good, who is expecting a baby! Now, we know that a couture runway can be a spectacle and Karl Lagerfeld certainly rules at creating collections-cum-events that are buzzier than buzzy (um, remember the grocery store of last season?). And while the most recent didn’t feature as many moving pieces, it’s still headline-making for reasons other than the impeccable clothes.

For one, Good, who wore the show’s finale wedding gown, reportedly is seven months pregnant. The curved, structured shape of the gown mimicked the rest of what was shown, making it a fantastic fit for anyone expecting. Whether it was intended to be cheeky or not, I love that we’re all taking some time to celebrate the beauty of a pregnant woman.

Gorgeous, right? And maybe I’m crazy, but I think all that purposeful structure means a non-pregnant woman could still pull it off.

Karl also hopped on the Kendall Jenner bandwagon (for the second time, natch). After walking down the aforementioned supermarket aisles earlier this spring, she’s back!
