Chrissy Teigen Avoids a Wardrobe Malfunction on Her Way to the Oscars

The hours leading up to the Oscars red carpet are busy for the stars, and hair and makeup is occasionally interrupted by a wardrobe…issue. Chrissy Teigen has been killing the maternity style game, and tonight’s awards were no different at face value. Beforehand though? The actress was getting some needlework done on her Marchesa gown!

And here’s a shot of her bump from the side:

The Insta shot shows two women working on Chrissy’s beaded dress while she’s wearing it, diligently stitching away. Broken zippers or tears can sometimes require quick fixes with a needle and thread, but the position of the work being done makes it seem more likely that workers were waiting to finish some hand-beaded detailing until the dress was fitted exactly over Chrissy’s baby bump. Don’t forget that this isn’t the first time Mrs. Legend has had a wardrobe issue since announcing she was expecting either—right after the news broke, she wound up at a fashion event with too-small pants. A tailor used fabric from the bottom of her pants to make it work!
