Come See Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian Have a Real-Life Princess Moment
We’re consistently fascinated by women stepping out in real-life Cinderella shoes (i.e., those utilizing plastic and Lucite for a clear, glass-like appearance). Spain’s Queen Letizia was the first to show just how chic it can be, wearing her favorite pair multiple times to official engagements where looking regal is expected. Now we’ve spotted the look on reality royalty as well, with Kim Kardashian West pairing totally clear sandals with a nude bodysuit she wore earlier this month. Prior to that, the unique accessories made an appearance in Taylor Swift’s closet as well, and, frankly, with Dolce & Gabbana’s fall 2016 collection going all-in on the princess thing, we’re just counting the days until we see a street-style star style step out in the brand’s take on the iconic slipper. For now, take a peek at how the shoes have been worn so far.

Pop star princess Taylor wore her Cinderella-inspired heels for a party celebrating “Red” back in 2012. The Christian Louboutin slingbacks had a sparkly black cap toe, but the rest of the shoe had the glass slipper thing going on.

While both Kim and Taylor do the look well, we might have to hand the official crown to Queen Letizia, whose elegant Magrit pair actually feel like the real thing. Compared to Taylor’s, where the material is a design detail, and Kim’s, with a funky shape that feels straight from the runway, Letizia’s classic silhouette is clean and could honestly be subbed in for a modern-day retelling of the fairy tale.
