The actress battled rainy California weather in a gingham shirt layered under a maroon sweater, pulled on knee-high boots and topped it off with the type of waxed parka favored by East Coast prepsters. Oh, and she skipped a purse in favor of a backpack. All in all, it’s Ivy League—as imagined by the world’s peppiest lawyer-to-be.

Essentially, this is just like what we’d see toward the middle of Legally Blonde, when Elle realizes she’s serious about law and leaves the fluffy pens and pink for more studious outfits.
