Fight That Case of the Mondays With Super-Glam Dresses From the Rome Film Festival

You know what makes a slow-starter Monday better? Pretty dresses. The Rome Film Festival went on over the weekend, and, happily, there are some lovely looks to check out while you sip on that second (or third) cup of coffee.

I mean, Lily Collins! It’s never a stretch for her to look like a princess, and she really nailed it in this gorgeous strapless Elie Saab couture dress. How magical is the ombre effect that goes from deep dark purple at the bodice to snowy white at the hem.

For every Disney princess, there’s gotta be a sexy villain-type outfit too. Nathalie Rapti Gomez played that part, costume-wise of course, perfectly in this sultry sheer black dress.

Claudia Traisac did the angelic thing in this Grecian ivory gown that flowed beautifully. My favorite angle was from the back, where an unusual cowl neck highlighted a lace panel. Pretty!

Rooney Mara kept up her coolest-girl-in-school mantle with this awesome black number. It’s Balenciaga spring 2015, and I love the mix of fabrics (especially the simple sheerness at the neckline).

Japanese actress Rinko Kikuchi looked awesome in this structured off-white gown. The photo caught my eye, but I can only imagine how fantastic it looked in person. We see so much flowy and floaty on the red carpet that the shape of this one feels super refreshing.
