Happy Birthday, Prince George! See His Best Outfits From Year One
It’s no surprise, but Prince George spent his first year on earth in some pretty adorable outfits. Think fantastic overalls and sweet embroidered sailboats that look like they came straight from a preserved collection of Prince William’s baby clothes. I mean, it was so good he even knocked mom Kate Middleton off the top spot as most-stylish royal.
The little guy clearly got the memo that overalls are happening this season. His are a red cotton conductor stripe, and, no joke, Sophia copped to almost wanting a pair, grown-up-size.
Here’s a styling trick courtesy of the little royal: Top off your overalls with a buttoned-up cardigan for a totally new look (those are the same overalls!).
How scrumptious is this baby blue waffle-knit sweater complete with sweet little collar? If I could find one in my size, I swear I’d wear it with jeans and a tee, out to dinner over an LBD… basically everywhere, guys.
For one of his debarking outfits on the Australia and New Zeland tour, Kate put baby George in a short-sleeve romper embroidered with a trio of sailing ships. Sweet!
On the same tour, he rocked a pair of pint-size cargo shorts and a striped polo. How comfy do those soft leather shoes look?
Another sailboat look? Yes, please!
Full disclosure: I may have actually teared up when I saw George arrive with color-coordinated Kate for his christening. The lace gown was dramatic, but it felt so special and rich with traditions of the past.
And the one piece we haven’t seen George rock but I so hope we do? This tiny bomber jacket that Prince Charles and Camilla accepted as a gift for the little one while visiting Canada. That thing is awesome.
I totally remember where I was when I saw the televised shot of Kate leaving the hospital with George in her arms. You too? Which outfit has made you melt the most so far?
