Jennifer Connelly + Nicolas Ghesquiere Back Together: Collaborate on Red Carpet Look
The role of designer muses in fashion has always fascinated me. From Amanda Harlech and Karl Lagerfeld to Sofia Coppola and Marc Jacobs, to me, serving as an inspiration for a designer is the ultimate fashion fantasy. So it comes as little surprise that as Nicolas Ghesquiere gets his footing as creative director for Louis Vuitton that he tapped a former muse to bow his custom red carpet collaboration for the famed leathe-goods and ready-to-wear house. Jennifer Connelly—who has served as inspiration and a collaborator for the designer during his celebrated tenure at Balenciaga—stepped out last night at the premiere of Noah in a custom-made dress, in varnished leather and tweed, just one gold earring and a black Epi electric Petite-Malle bag.
Nicolas told WWD: “Jennifer continues to inspire me with her commitment to daring roles; strong yet delicate at the same time…I was happy to create this look for her.”
Take a look at some of the work Jennifer and Nicolas have done together:
