Lingerie Dressing Now Means Literally Wearing Your Underwear
Bedroom-inspired clothes are nothing new, nor is the idea of flashing a lacy bra or bustier in a sly way, but today’s interpretation of lingerie dressing is a whole different ballgame. Namely, a very ballsy one involving wearing full-on bustiers, sheer bras, and lacy bodysuits as if it were the most normal thing in the world.
If there’s a trick to pulling off the look—other than having loads of body confidence (get it, girls)—it’s pairing the lingerie item with a nothing-to-see-here, conservative piece. Kim Kardashian exemplified this move earlier this week, wearing a very lacy bodysuit with high-waist denim (a.k.a. mom jeans) and snakeskin boots. Ashley Graham and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley did the same thing in a subtler way using solid black bottoms to anchor their ultra-racy tops.
If the idea of dressing this sexy has you breaking out in cold sweat, we have a solution: Do something along the lines of what these ladies are doing, only add a boyish bomber jacket on top. If you’re feeling comfortable, hey, you can always take it off. If you’re not, that’s OK too. If everyone dressed this racy, it wouldn’t be racy anymore.
