Picture it: You’re standing in a nondescript hallway, in an undisclosed location, hoping that your lukewarm cup of coffee will help get you through the day before Hump Day (because, oh my goodness, we’re not even there yet)—then you stumble upon none other than Bad Gal, wearing a custom riff on designer Molly Goddard’s fall 2017 Rio gown with white sneakers (presumably Fenty, because the #brand doesn’t sleep). Never mind the caffeinated beverage, because this is giving us all the life we needed.

Is there such a thing as “Tuesday goals”?

At the request of Rih and her longtime stylist, Mel Ottenberg, Goddard adjusted the neckline of her bright blue dress into an off-the-shoulder style. Here’s how the Rio gown appeared on the runway.

“Too lit to dim down a notch,” Goddard wrote on Instagram of Rihanna’s customizations.

Bad Gal has been a fan of the British designer for a while now: She’s worn Goddard’s signature tulle dresses for a variety of occasions, from a Starbucks run (yes, really) to the recent launch of Fenty Beauty at Harvey Nichols.

Rihanna recently caught up with Goddard at the LVMH Prize this year, when the designer was honored as a finalist. They were photographed talking while admiring a sample of the Rio dress—possible that this was the precise moment our new permanent Tuesday mood was born?
