Paul Mason may not have a sleigh pulled by reindeer or a workshop filled with elves, but he’s still bringing plenty of joy at holiday time. That’s because each December, the veteran model becomes “Fashion Santa” at Toronto’s Yorkdale shopping center. Unlike most mall Father Christmases, Fashion Santa stays in sensational shape, wears beautifully tailored designer duds, and keeps his silver hair and beard professionally groomed (he likes Kiehl’s and Holt & Renfrew). Guests to the shopping center can take selfies with Fashion Santa during his appearances, and for every pic posted to social with the #YorkdaleFashionSanta hashtag, Yorkdale will donate $1 to Sick Kids Foundation (and will totally get you on Santa’s “Nice” list). And let’s face it, a Kris Kringle this good-looking is enough to make anyone feel merry and bright (almost enough to get us back on the “Naughty” list).
Up on the rooftop, click click click! But Fashion Santa wouldn’t mess up his plaid John Varvatos coat by shimmying down a chimney…he arrives in a bright red Audi.
That ain’t your grandpa’s Santa suit—it’s a Ferragamo velvet blazer and Dolce & Gabbana coat.
Fashion Santa looks North Pole-ready but New York-stylish in a John Varvatos shearling coat.
No bulky sack for this Santa, just a chic leather Giuseppe Zanotti backpack.
We’re dreaming of a white Christmas…and that red Fendi backpack.
